Yevgeny’s debut disc has already wowed the specialist piano and music magazines alike. International Piano are covering him as their Rising Star in the next issue of the magazine, and Pianist and Piano magazines also have plans to interview him on the strength of this performance alone.
An outstanding debut recording by a pianist we’re definitely going to hear more from in the years to come. And judging by his well-researched and informative essay, he’s clearly done more than just learn the notes! This is a very fine Scarlatti album, alive to the rhythmic vitality of this music, and played with quite breathtaking verve. And being a BIS production, the sound impressively meets the very highest of standards.Gramophone

To listen is an effort, and just to hear is no merit. A duck hears also. Igor Stravinsky
