"One of the best bands on the progressive rock scene in England (circa early Seventies) was the short-lived line-up called 801, issuing a "Live" album for Polydor/E. G. Records in 1976, #2302-044 - featuring original compositions as well as a couple of covers made famous by the Beatles and Kinks. The band consisted of Roxy Music alumni Phil Manzanera, guitar; and Brian Eno, vocals, synthesizer, guitar + tapes; Bill MacCormick, bass + vocals; Francis Monkman (Curved Air), Fender Rhodes + clavinet; Simon Phillips, drums + rhythm box; and Lloyd Watson, slide guitar + vocals. Tunes are: "Lagrima"; "T.N.K." "East of Asteroid"; "RongWrong"; "Sombre Reptiles"; "Baby's On Fire"; "Diamond Head"; "Miss Shapiro"; "You Really Got Me" and "Third Uncle".
